ABOUT PALEO DIET

Paleo Diet is a tried and true diet based on what our Hunter-Gather ancestors eat – Meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruits and no sugar. This is the diet that our evolutionary genetics are meant to eat.

Why follow the Paleo Diet? Because by eating whole foods as prescribed by the Paleo Diet, you can lose excess fats, build muscle, gain energy level, prevent diseases and gain back your health effortlessly. It is a lifestyle diet, its highly sustainable, and you’ll never be hungry. As mentioned from Robb Wolf, “The Paleo diet has stood not only the test of time, but also the rigors of scientific scrutiny.”

Our current conventional diet has been warped to the point that it is compromising our health, if not killing us. Grains, legumes and dairy causes autoimmunity. Excessive carbohydrate sources (excessive sugar) leads to hyperinsulinemia (proven to correlate with obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, high cholestrol), processed foods and trans fats leads to even more obesity and diseases. There is a lot of bad food that you need to avoid in order to be healthy, and it really is up to you to educate yourself, take control and eat the right food.

ABOUT THE BLOG

This blog will serve as a food  log for participants of the “Paleo for 6 weeks” challenge.We started off as a group of friends who were interested in, experimented with and eventually loving the Paleo Diet.

Most of us are also CrossFitters so when we talk about exercises, it will be following the CrossFit methodology.

The blog is meant to challenge people who want to lose weight, feel great and look great to try Paleo for 6 weeks. 6 weeks is not a long time and we believe that the best way to prove that a diet works, is to try it. You can talk about the good, the bad and how it matches your lifestyle… But you won’t know if it will work for you, until you actually try it. You only live once, so why not try it for 6 weeks.
